The Symposium will feature talks by our EMCRs and researchers, as well as some talks from international leaders, interactive activities designed by our portfolio leads, and plenty of time for networking.The Symposium will begin at 9am on Monday 17 November, so we encourage attendees to arrive by 5pm on Sunday 16 November to check-in, register and join us for a casual pizza and pasta buffet dinner. Registration is free and accommodation and meals are included for the event. Attendees will need to arrange their own airfares, transfers and other travel as required. On Monday 17 November there is a 3MT Pitch and Poster Competition both judged by QUBIC’s Scientific Advisory Council. We encourage everyone to participate in both events to showcase your research in a concise and engaging manner, practice your communication skills and share your research with peers and experts, while gaining valuable feedback and fostering potential collaborations. There are some great prizes up for grabs! Register below!I will be participating in the following activities: 3MT Pitch Poster Session (this is mandatory)For these activities you will be required to provide your name, advisor, poster title, short abstract, presentation title and single slide for the 3MT Pitch by 1 October (you will be emailed with more details). Posters are to be no bigger than A0 portrait size and must be brought with you to the Symposium for display throughout the event.Getting to and from the venueIt is the responsibility of attendees to find their way to and from Wollongong and the Sage Hotel. QUBIC is unable to organise transfers between Sydney and Wollongong. Getting to Wollongong from Sydney and the airport is straightforward by train.
