Justine is a social scientist and currently leads CSIRO’s Responsible Innovation Future Science Platform, which is a multi-year research investment in systematically and scientifically assessing the risks, benefits and uncertainties of CSIRO’s portfolio of future science and technology. The aim of this research program to is to account for social and ethical risks and opportunities in the design of future science and technology by researchers, during implementation by stakeholders and end users, and in the realisation of societally beneficial outcomes for Australian communities and industries.
