Professor Muhammad Usman is Head of Quantum Systems Team at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), Australia’s national research organization, where he leads a team of over 20 researchers working at the forefront of quantum computing. His research spans quantum algorithms, quantum software engineering, and quantum cybersecurity. He has published over 100 research articles in leading international journals. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Physics (FAIP) and has received his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University USA in 2010.
