Application Process

In 2026, QUBIC will offer ten undergraduate internships across four Nodes. You can apply for one primary project and list a second preference if you wish. Please make sure you’ve met with and received approval from the supervisor(s) for both projects before applying. For your application, please compile one PDF containing the following, in order:

  1. Project selection
    • Name of project and node (as listed in booklet)
    • Supervisor name(s)
  2. Motivation statement (300–400 words)
    • Why this project and supervisor
    • What you hope to learn (skills/outcomes)
    • How your background/skills prepare you to contribute
  3. Attach your CV
  4. Attach you academic transcript
  5. Attach supervisor confirmation email

How allocation works

After applications close, the QUBIC MTD Committee will review all submissions in consultation with project supervisors. Each project can host one student, and placements will be based on student fit, supervisor endorsement, and overall program balance across QUBIC’s Nodes. If multiple applicants apply for the same project, other suitable opportunities may be discussed with supervisors to ensure strong matches between students and available projects.

Please email applications to the program co-ordinator Dzung Do-Ha (dzung@uow.edu.au).
